CAMEROON’S ENERGY SECTOR: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES
Subject: Direct Line Conference Call with U.S. Ambassador to Cameroon Robert Jackson, Thursday, September 26, 2013, 9:00am Washington D.C. Time
We look forward to the next webinar in the State Department’s sector-specific series. The next call is scheduled for Thursday, September 26, 2013 from 9:00am to 10:00am Washington D.C. (EDT) Time (2:00pm – 3:00pm in Cameroon) and will focus on the Energy sector, particularly power generation and electricity opportunities in Cameroon. U.S. Ambassador to Cameroon Robert Jackson will host the call. During the call, Ambassador Jackson and Stephanie Boscaino, Deputy Political and Economic Section Chief will discuss the current business environment, provide an overview of the power generation and electricity sector in Cameroon, and outline potential trade and investment opportunities for U.S. power generation and electricity focused companies.
The Direct Line program provides a unique opportunity for American businesses, particularly small- and medium-sized enterprises, to engage directly via teleconference with U.S. Ambassadors overseas. The program is open to American companies which are already in Cameroon or interested in expanding their businesses into Cameroon.
