On Thursday, January 10, 2013, the U.S. Embassy Management Counselor Chanh Nguyen presented 100 motorcycle helmets to the Director General of the Cameroon Customs Office, Mme Minette Libom Li Likeng. The Government of Cameroon recently provided the Customs Office with 100 motorcycles so that customs agents can carry out their responsibilities in remote or difficult to reach areas.

The donation of helmets is an Embassy initiative to keep agents safe, while promoting road safety and safety awareness. The donation is also intended to support the Customs Office in its effort to improve overall performance and operational effectiveness.
