EducationUSA Advisor Fatimah Mateen encouraged students to consider going to university in America, and informed them of the services offered at the U.S. Embassy to help students successfully complete the 5 Steps to Study in the U.S.  The EducationUSA Advising Center, located in the U.S Embassy in Yaounde, provides objective information on the range of study opportunities available in the U.S., and offers individual advising and preparation materials for admissions exams such as the TOEFL, SAT and GRE.  With over 1,600 Cameroonians studying at universities in America, Cameroon has the most students from Central Africa studying in America.  Educational exchanges between Cameroon and the U.S. promote mutual understanding and bring people of different nations together to share ideas and compare values.  Students also develop leadership skills that prepare them to succeed globally.
