Visa Fees

Nonimmigrant visa application and issuance fees

The application fee for a U.S. nonimmigrant visa is $131 or the CFA equivalent. This fee allows the Department of State to recover the costs of security and other enhancements to the non-immigrant visa application process. There are additional issuance fees, which vary according to the type and duration of the visa.  The U.S. Embassy and the Government of Cameroon are currently discussing options for reducing or eliminating these issuance fees, to promote travel and exchange between our countries.

Immigrant visa application and issuance fees

The cost of each formal immigrant visa application and processing fee is 355 USD or the CFA equivalent, and the Surcharge fee is 45 USD or the CFA equivalent, for a total of 400 USD. Fees must be paid by, or on behalf of, each intending immigrant regardless of age, are not refundable and should not be sent to the consular office unless specifically requested. The INS charges additional fees for filing petitions.
